What aspect of storytelling brought you to join the team at Wrigley Media Group?

My editing journey began with an early-2000s flip video camera and Apple’s “iMovie” – the only editing software within my reach at the time. But what started as a curiosity quickly developed into a genuine passion; by middle school, I knew I wanted to make a career out of it. Throughout my years of high school and college, I had an aspiration to one day work at a production company where I could have the creative liberty to create stories and tell them well. After being offered the job at Wrigley Media Group in 2018, it really felt like a dream come true!

Everyone’s story is woven so uniquely and purposefully. Stories are what give life meaning, and to have the opportunity to craft something that impacts viewers and those around us is a gift in and of itself. In addition to my passion for stories, I have a deep-rooted love of music that began with many years of piano lessons and playing the violin. Every edit has a rhythm to it, even if it’s without music. Any mood or feeling carries its own tempo. For me to be able to carry over some of the things that I’ve learned in music over into editing has been really special.

What styles influence you as a storyteller?

Coming from my love of all things Disney, the type of joy created in their films and the experiences they bring to life is what I want to carry over into everyday life. I feel like as we get older, mature, and go through hardship, we can tend to lose our light, our spark, and this is something I never want to let go of. In that same regard, whether it be color, animation, or sound effects, I like adding small touches and detail to give an edit more personality and vibrancy.

Where do you call home, and what inspires you outside of work?

After growing up in Charlotte, NC, I landed at Asbury University, where I studied Media Communications and Spanish while also playing collegiate volleyball. When I’m not in my edit suite, you can catch me on a bike at Cyclebar, exercising at the gym, snacking, playing volleyball, snuggling my goldendoodle puppies, or dreaming about the next place to explore with my husband. While I do like to keep my schedule full, I find so much beauty in the smaller, mundane moments of life. Slow mornings with a cold brew coffee in hand and a good book to read have become one of my greatest delights. It is in this place where I find the true inspiration to live the life I was created to live in to.
